Vaping is not allowed on domestic flights in India. Vaping will still not be allowed on domestic flights in India in 2023.
According to the latest notification from the Indian aviation safety regulator, the Bureau of Civil Aviation of India (BCAS), the use of vapes, including any form of vapes and heat-not-burn products, is not allowed on domestic and international flights as well as at airports in the country.
The notice states: Regardless of its name, shape, size or form, production, manufacturing, import, export, transportation, sale, distribution, storage, etc. are prohibited in airports and other venues.
On September 18, 2020, Indian Finance Minister Sitharaman announced that India would completely ban the production, import, export, sales, advertising and other related businesses of vape. Vapes are also prohibited from being carried on board aircraft. This policy is a measure taken to protect public health due to the increasing popularity of vapes in the Indian market.
Therefore, for vape users, you must understand the local country’s regulations on vape before taking an international flight to avoid violating vape laws.
